Regional Innovation Accelerator Program
The METS industries encompass a variety of services and support thousands of jobs in Victoria – including mineral exploration, mining products, engineering consulting, construction, information technology and professional services.
About the program
The METS Regional Innovation Accelerator program is designed to help regionally based businesses to engage with local mining companies, fast-track product innovation and promote their services.
We are planning to run a series of targeted business improvement forums and accelerators in Victoria’s regional centres. Dates are yet to be confirmed.

The Department of Jobs, Precincts and Regions launched the METS Regional Innovation Accelerator Program in Bendigo on 11 October 2019.
Minister Jaclyn Symes attended the Bendigo event which gave local businesses in the sector the opportunity to discuss the support they need to drive innovation and investment.
Industry leaders outlined their collaboration experiences and what they look for in partnerships, local businesses talked about their success stories, options for capability accelerators were showcased and there was a Q&A panel with industry leaders.
2020 Winter Program
The Department also ran an online program between 22 May to 9 July 2020, designed as an online seminar program consisting of weekly sessions for eight weeks.
The seminars covered topics surrounding general business development, skills to support managers and help staff build the skills needed to drive business success and mini workshops where current issues were presented and discussed.
