Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority
The Mine Land Rehabilitation Authority (MLRA) is an independent statutory authority. It replaces the Latrobe Valley Mine Rehabilitation Commissioner to promote the effective and consistent rehabilitation of coal mine land in accordance with the Latrobe Valley Regional Rehabilitation Strategy. The MLRA assumes the Commissioner’s roles and functions for the Latrobe Valley coal mines and any mines in Victoria that may be deemed to pose significant risks of harm to the community, environment and infrastructure.
