We would like to thank the community around Bright, Harrietville, Myrtleford and Yackandandah for their contributions to last night’s minerals exploration webinar.

Around 70 people attended the webinar to update locals about ongoing minerals exploration in the region and how to make their voices heard in the licensing process for proposed projects.

It is important that minerals exploration is understood by communities.

Participants were given opportunities to ask questions of the department and responses to all questions will be emailed directly to attendees shortly.

Communities around Rochester, Elmore, Lockington, Axedale and Goornong can learn about minerals exploration in their region at a series of webinars between 25 February and 10 March.
