The Victorian Budget 2021/22 was handed down today, it includes $35.7 million to ensure our minerals, quarry and gas sectors continue to grow.

The Victorian Budget 2021/22 was handed down today, it includes $35.7 million to ensure our minerals, quarry and gas sectors continue to grow.

New funding will help:

• Earth Resources Regulation deliver timely and efficient processing of mineral exploration applications.

• Work to ensure new quarries can be developed close to where resources are needed.
• The Geological Survey of Victoria to continue attracting new investment throughout the sector.
• Further legislative and regulatory improvements across the sector to reinforce rehabilitation and environmental safeguards and support greater community engagement.
