IMARC brings the Next Gen to mining and resources

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) will not only bring the sector’s leading decision makers to Melbourne between 31 January and 2 February 2022, it will also open doors for the next generation of leaders in earth resources.

The International Mining and Resources Conference (IMARC) will not only bring the sector’s leading decision makers to Melbourne between 31 January and 2 February 2022, it will also open doors for the next generation of leaders in earth resources.

In collaboration with the Victorian Government and Newcrest Mining, IMARC’s Next Gen program will offer up to  80 young Victorians a chance to learn about the sector and the career opportunities on offer.

Australia’s resources sector offers thousands of diverse job opportunities, calling on a wide range of skills from data-driven analytics, geosciences, environmental sciences and mechanical engineering.

Emerging skills around collaboration, innovation and social science skills are also in demand as the resources sector deals with evolving community expectations.

By providing opportunities for young people to meet and be inspired by a range of diverse professionals, Next Gen is a great step forward to help build Victoria’s future resources workforce.
