Preparation of Work Plans and Work Plan Variations - Guideline for Extractive Industry Projects
This document provides guidance on the preparation of work plans, work plan variations and administrative updates to meet the requirements of the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990 and associated regulations.
The guideline has been developed in consultation with industry and includes information on when a work plan or variation is required, what content is required, and the steps for seeking approval.
An updated version of the Guideline was released in October 2020. Information on the consultation can be found on the Engage Victoria website.
Additional changes were made in December 2020 to include clarification on how the work plan guideline relates to projects that are an outcome of an Environment Effects Statement (EES) process.
