Maps, Reports and Data

  • GeoVic - provides access to many spatial datasets including:
    • the location of current and expired tenements
    • land status for exploration and mining
    • old mines and shafts
    • airborne surveys
    • geological sites and data
    • topographical, gravity, digital terrain model and radiometric images

  • Victorian Government Library Catalogue - Lists books, journals, published maps and photograph collections.

Earth Information Centre

The Earth Resources Information Centre is located at Level 17, 1 Spring Street, Melbourne. It is open Monday to Friday from 9:00am to 4:30pm (excluding public holidays).

The Information Centre handles general inquiries about mining and exploration in Victoria and is the place to lodge applications for mineral licences and renewals.

Earth Resources Online Store

A vast collection of geological maps, reports and digital information can be obtained from the Earth Resources Online Store.
