Bendigo gold licence transfer

Licence transfer approval

Victoria's Minister for Energy and Resources Lily D'Ambrosio has approved the transfer of mining and exploration licences under the Mineral Resources (Sustainable Development) Act 1990 from Unity Mining Ltd to Kralcopic Pty Ltd, a subsidiary of listed Bendigo-based company GBM Gold Ltd.

Victoria's mining regulator, Earth Resources Regulation, has confirmed that the new operator has passed the fit-and-proper person test, meets financial stability standards to carry out the currently licensed mining activity, and can pay the site's assessed rehabilitation bond.

The scope of works GBM Gold intends to carry out at the site will be subject to regulatory approval of a work plan variation.

The work of Earth Resources Regulation in assessing the licence transfers has been independently reviewed by a leading business consulting firm.
